Akimat was born from the heart and passion of our talented and service-oriented CEO and Founder –Tamika Baghaloo. Tamika is a service industry specialist and Luxury Travel Maven with over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry. Tamika has honed her impeccable skills and experiences from being employed at Exhale Spa, Grace Bay Club Resorts and while working as a contractor for Luxury Retreats via Airbnb. She is from the sunny and beautiful island of Jamaica. She holds a license in Esthetics and Massage Therapy and has successfully managed her very own day spa in Turks and Caicos. Tamika is a certified, licensed and bonded African & Caribbean Travel Specialist who provides affordable and bespoke travel experiences. She relishes the opportunity to provide quality, professional, and efficient service to all her clients from all walks of life. During her leisure time, she enjoys escaping into the pages of biographies on serene beaches while basking in the beauty of sun, sea, and sand.
